Install Vineforce Teams Lite | Windows

Windows 10 / 11  |  Windows Server 2016+

Vineforce Teams Lite is a background activity tracking application designed for silent deployment. It runs without interrupting the user's workflow and automatically records activity in the background.

This guide walks you through the new, simplified installation process using our automated one-click installer for Windows.

Prerequisites​

Step 1: Sign In to the Web Portal​

First, log in to your organization's Vineforce Teams web portal. The URL is specific to your tenancy (e.g., https://<your-tenancy-name>.vineforceteams.com/account/login).

For example, if your tenancy name is vf-test, the URL would be: https://vf-test.vineforceteams.com/account/login

Step 2: Download the Application​

  1. Once logged in, navigate to Downloads from the left-hand menu.
  2. Locate the Vineforce Teams Lite (Silent Mode) section.
  3. Click the Download for Windows button.

This will download a batch file (.bat) to your computer.

Step 3: Run the Installer​

  1. Open your Downloads folder (or the location where the file was saved).
  2. Locate the downloaded file, typically named Install-VineforceTeamsLite.bat.
  3. Double-click the .bat file to start the installation.

Step 4: Accept the Security Prompt​

Since the installer automates the setup process, Windows may display an "Open File - Security Warning" or a User Account Control (UAC) prompt.

Click Run (or Yes) to allow the script to execute and make changes to your device.

Step 5: Complete the Installation​

A Command Prompt (CMD) window will appear, displaying the automated installation process. The script will:

  • Check for required dependencies like .NET 9.
  • Download the latest version of Vineforce Teams Lite.
  • Install the application silently (Please accept any UAC prompts).
  • Create a startup shortcut or scheduled task.
  • Clean up temporary files.
  • Automatically launch Vineforce Teams Lite once complete.

Wait for the process to finish. Once you see "INSTALLATION COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY", the setup has finished successfully, and Vineforce Teams Lite is now installed and running.

Step 6: Verify the Installation​

Vineforce Teams Lite runs silently in the background, so you will not see a main window. You can verify it is running using Task Manager:

  1. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  2. Go to the Processes or Details tab.
  3. Look for Vineforce Teams Lite under the Background processes section.

If the process appears, the application is installed successfully and is tracking activity in the background.

Troubleshooting​

ProblemSolution
Installer blocked by antivirusTemporarily allow the file or contact your IT administrator to whitelist the .bat file.
Installation fails or gets stuckEnsure you have an active internet connection and sufficient permissions.
App not in Task ManagerTry restarting your computer. If it still doesn't auto-start, re-run the installer.

What's Next?​

Once installed and running, Vineforce Teams Lite will:

  • Run silently in the background on every login.
  • Track activity automatically without any user interaction.
  • Sync recorded data with the Vineforce Teams Web Application.
