Asset Assembly

Assets can be built by combining individual components (e.g. a laptop assembled with a specific RAM unit). Components are marked as Consumed once added to an asset, meaning they cannot be used elsewhere.

How to Assemble an Asset

  1. Open the Asset Detail Profile.
  2. Click Reassemble from the top action bar.
  3. Select the components to attach to this asset.
  4. Save — the asset status updates to Assembled and components are marked as Consumed.

How to Reassemble an Asset

  1. Open the Asset Detail Profile.
  2. Click Reassemble.
  3. Remove existing components and/or add new ones.
  4. Save — the change is logged in Asset Lifecycle History.

All assembly and reassembly actions are automatically recorded in Asset Lifecycle History with the assembler's name, office, and timestamp.
